As TopCat Research is new start-up company, we are at the early stages of both company and product development. TopCat is busy developing its company image and internet presence, plus liaising with strategic partners in the Welsh Assembly Government, Finance Wales and others about on-going support. We have also attained Associate Member status at Technium CAST and also reached the finals of Technium Challenge 2010 (more on this in our Blog). We are also in the process of developing our purpose built laboratory facility.
However, our product development plans are well developed and we have identified our first range of products. These will be ELISA kits for the detection of Listeria monocytogenes, E. coli O157, Salmonella spp, Campylobacter spp and Staph. aurous. The development goals are to produce kits that have a negative result turnaround time of 24 hrs and don’t require selective pre- enrichment. This will give significant cost benefits to our Stakeholders and a significant time advantage over competitor methods.
